Purple Camera.

Meet Michael, the animated version of me. I’m bringing him to the screen in The Little Purple Camera—a vertical short film coming in May 2027.

This is another way for me to tell a story: through a character’s expression, the light in a scene, and the small details a camera can hold onto. Here’s a first look at the character and the artwork as I bring the film together.

I want the camera to feel like an invitation: to look closer, to follow your curiosity, to notice something worth keeping.

This is
Michael.

He starts with me, but animation gives him a language of his own. A glance can linger. A gesture can say something before a single word is spoken.

I want the character to feel recognizable and the moments around him to feel personal. The frame may be imagined, but the connection I’m looking for is real.

The gray shirt. The glasses. The expression. A first introduction to the Michael you’ll see on screen.

The Little Purple Camera is a vertical animated short film. The portrait format is part of how the film is composed, with the characters and their expressions at the center of the screen.

I’m building this as a complete short film, and I’ll release it on my personal YouTube channel. The trailer will arrive there first. Until then, this is where I’ll share more of its characters and scenes.
